Grace Baptist Church

Our Faith

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God which has ultimate and final authority in all matters of faith and living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:16-21)
  • Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God as a free moral agent. In his original creation, man was innocent but fell into sin through an act of disobedience and thus became dead in the trespasses and sins, and became subject to death and the power of Satan. (Genesis 1:26, 2:17, 6:5; Romans 5:12-21)
  • We worship one God who is Holy, infinite, eternal and unchangeable, subsisting in an eternal trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 6:3)
  • Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son who is truly God and truly man, born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23), Lived a sinless life (1 John 3:5), died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead and will return from heaven to reign and to rule. (John 1:1-4, 14:9; Acts 3:12-26; 1 Corinthians 15:12-28; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6; Titus 2:11-14)
  • The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Guide who brings people to Christ and empowers the believer for godly living and service. (John 16:7-15; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Corinthians 3:16, John 14:17, Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Salvation is a gift from God by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Christ's substitutionary and sacrificial death on the cross is sufficient to for all, available to all, meeting every Biblical demand for all, and on these grounds to be offered to all, and that all must be born again or be forever lost. (John 3:1-21; Romans 5:6-10)
  • True believers, once saved, shall be kept saved forever, apart from all human merit. He, who cannot fail, will in the end present everyone of them faultless before the presence of His glory and conformed to the image of His Son. (John 5:24, 10:28, 31:1, 14:16-17)
  • Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission to all believers commanding us to go "make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20, ESV; Acts 1:8)
